About Us
Presbyoptics Solutions is a social enterprise committed to improving access to reading glasses among adults aged 40+ in Kenya. Many people with presbyopia remain unserved due to cost, lack of awareness, and the misconception that reading glasses require a prescription.
We address this by demedicalizing access to vision care and leveraging trusted community structures Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) and church networks to distribute affordable, non-prescription reading glasses.
Our approach integrates basic vision screening tools such as the Snellen chart and WHOeyes app, enabling trained CHVs and church volunteers to reach underserved individuals at community level.
Our Vision: To restore vision for Kenyans through affordable reading glasses
Our Mission: To demedicalize access to reading glasses by using community based distribution models and to integrate eye care into local health and religious systems.
